Well...Im not really sure how this all works....
I came here through a search about homebrewing and found some really interesting info.
So heres a little bit of the boring stuff...
Im an Aussie, first and foremost, so beer and alcohol in general is a significant part of my culture (or lack thereof :) ). Currently living in the San Francisco Bay area where my Wife and I took a look one day at the cherry-plum tree in the yard and thought that we could make something pretty drinkable out of them.
So we did. And it was.
I'd never made wine of any sort before but it was fun and actually relatively easy. I've brewed beer for some years in Australia, mainly using kits (Coopers, John Bull and Black Rock were fave brands).
The Managing Director (my Wife) then decided that she wanted to try to make mead. That was more difficult but still fun and we sure used some honey.
I'll post my recollections of the receipes as I can recall them/if I can find the notes we made at the time if anyone is interested.
I was searching the net for a receipe for Diabetic Beer as my Father-in-Law is coming soon and he loves a brew but is diabetic...that search is turning into something a little more difficult than I had first suspected. It doesnt seem that anyone actually makes a commercially available kit for Diabetic beer.

Other future plans include a loquat wine when next they fruit.
Thats about all for the moment.
